a^2 + b^2 = c^2....a and b are ur legs and c is ur hypotenuse
18^2 + 80^2 = c^2
324 + 6400 = c^2
6724 = c^2
sq rt 6724 = c
82 = c.....so the hypotenuse is 82 cm

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

Pythagorean theorem states that:

Hypotenuse²=a²+b²

Where a and b are the length of the legs of a right angled triangles.

We are given a and b to be 18 cm and 80 cm

We have to find Hypotenuse

Using Pythagorean theorem

Hypotenuse²=18²+80²

= 6724

= 82²

⇒ Hypotenuse=82

Hence, length of the hypotenuse is:

82 centimeters
