how do you simplify the expression √ 147 and give the resulting expression. instead of using the radical symbol, describe the expression.

remember
√(xy)=(√x)(√y)
and
√(x^2)=x or (√x)(√x)=x where x=x

split into factored form
147=2*7*7
so
√147=(√2)(√7)(√7)
look, the 7's are dobuled
now we have
(√2)(7)
or
7√2
the expression is simplified
