The interphase of the cell cycle is basically composed of three phases:

a) G1 Phase – In this phase mRNA and protein is synthesized and the cell grow in size

b) S phase – In this phase the DNA replicates and it occurs between G1 and G2 phase.

c) G2 Phase – In this phase the cell grows continuously and it’s a checkpoint before the cell enters into the M phase of the cell life cycle
