To calculate the number of moles we can use molarity, molarity relates the number of moles of solute to one liter of solution.

So we can replace molarity with:

1.0M=\frac{1\text{mol solute}}{1L\text{ solution}}

In this case, the solute is CuSO4. We replace in the equation:

(1molCuSO_4)/(1L)*108mL*(1L)/(1000mL)=0.108molCuSO_4

So, the moles of CuSO4 are 0.108 moles
