parallelogram fghi on the coordinate plane below represents the drawing of a horse trail through a local park: quadrilateral fghi is shown on the coordinate plane with coordinates f at negative 6, 6. g at negative 2, 6. h at negative 4, 3. and i negative 8, 3. point a is at 0, 4 and point d is at negative 6, negative 5. in order to build a scale model of the trail, the drawing is enlarged on the coordinate plane. if two corners of the trail are at point a(0, 4) and point d(−6, −5), what is another point that could represent a corner of the trail?

AD = 8 √2
FI = 2 √2

AD / FI = ( 8 √2 ) / ( 2 √2 ) = 4
distance between (4,-2) and (2,-4) is (see the attachment for distance)

now AD/ FI is 4
you will get some error because you are rounding with decimals. but if you used radicals it would be exactly 4
nightowlsince 4 is the scale factor
multiply the length of side FG by 4
FG has length 3. (thats easy because its a horizontal line)
we know that A is (-2,7) so i use substitution to find the value of b?

A + B =12
B = (10,7)
