Walden was given a triangle that had 3 exterior angles labeled with expressions. Lisa was given a triangle that had an exterior angle and 2 remote interior angles labeled with expressions. Can Walden and Lisa use the same approach to find the unknown angles? Explain. PLEASE HELP!

Answer:

no, they will both find a sum, but they will have to use different relationships to write their equations.

Explanation:

Walden needs to set the sum of the exterior angles equal to 360 degrees. Lisa needs to set the sum of the remote interior angles equal to the exterior angle. After they solve for the variable, they can substitute that into each expression to find the unknown angle measures.

Walden can set the expressions equal to 360 degrees because the sum of any figures exterior angles is always 360 degrees. Lisa can set the 2 remote angles equal to the exterior because the exterior angle is the sum of the remote angles. In other words they can't use the same method.
