Mary total distance

264+900=1164

In order to calculate Kate's distance, we will use the Pythagorean Theorem

\sqrt[]{900^2+264^2}=937.92

Then

1164-937.92=226.08

ANSWER

Kate did 226.08 ft less than Mary
