A coin is flipped an unknown number of times and can land on either heads or tails.

It lands on tails 70 times.

If 44% of the time it landed on heads then it means that it landed on tails 56% of times. (100% - 44% = 56%)

So, 70 is 56% of the unknown number of times the coin was flipped.

So, we can write

56\%\: of\: x=70

Let us solve for x (the total number of times the coin was flipped)

\begin{gathered} 56\%\: of\: x=70 \\ (56)/(100)\: \cdot x=70 \\ 56x=70\cdot100 \\ x=(70\cdot100)/(56) \\ x=125 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the coin was flipped 125 times.
