The given triangle is a right angle triangle. We would solve for x by applying pythagorean theorem which is expressed as

hypotenuse^2 = opposite side^2 + adjacent side^2

From the diagram,

hypotenuse = 15

opposite side = 11

adjacent side = x

Thus,

\begin{gathered} 15^2=11^2+x^2 \\ 225=121+x^2 \\ x^2=225\text{ - 121 = 104} \\ x\text{ = }\sqrt[]{104} \\ x\text{ = 10.198} \end{gathered}

Rounding to the nearest tenth,

x = 10.2
