Find the least common multiple (lcm) of 10 and 4 .

Complete factorization of 10 gives 5 x 2. On the other hand, the factors of 4 are 2 x 2. The least common multiple of these numbers is the least number that these two can divide to yield a whole number quotient. The answer is 20.
