Explanation: Personification is when a writer gives human qualities to animals, objects, or ideas. For example of personification: The huge tree comforted me with shade. Another example of non personification: The huge tree provided shade.

Personification is substituting a fake object for having real characteristics. For example, if you have seen Beauty and the Beast, you may know about the teapot collection. They are fake objects, but are given real personalities.
