Solution

- The mean of the sample means make the estimate better because each mean took into consideration certain portions of the population and the effects of all the values are properly averaged when the mean of the sample means are taken.

- Also, if the difference between the largest and the smallest numbers (i.e. Range) is large, then it implies that the mean value could fall in a wider range. While if the range is small, the mean value would fall within a smaller range. This means that with a smaller range, we can make a better estimate
