c = 45h + 25

Explanation:

The only difference between what the electrician used to charge and what he/she charges now is an increase of $5. Therefore, instead of charging $40 he is now charging $45. Using this new information we can create the following equation to calculate the total cost of a job. We do this by multiplying the cost per hour ($45) by the total number of hours (h) and then adding the surcharge.
