Answer: The statement is equating

5b+1=3b+4

Explanation:

Given equation 1 : a=5b+1

equation 2 : a=3b+4

Now since LHS of both the equations is the same

so RHS is also going to be same

i.e. 5b+1=3b+4

5b-3b=4-1

2b=3

b=
(3)/(2)

Now a=
5((3)/(2))+1

=
(15)/(2) +1

=
(17)/(2)
