There was a clear anti-catholic sentiment in the Americas brought by the protestants who came from Britain to establish colonies to practice free religion without any execution. Majority of the American population being Protestant strongly opposed the Catholic because of the immigrants in America for their living conditions, and their willingness to work for low wages often created conflict. The dispute between the two religious reached in cities of America, which led to mob violence often killed people.
