amanda tells you that because a variable is in the denominator, the equation three over x plus one over three equals five over six becomes unsolvable. amanda explains, "there is a value for x that makes the denominator zero, and you can't divide by zero." demonstrate to amanda how the equation is still solvable and explain your reasoning.

because the final answer is 5/6. That means x must be 6 since the second denominator is 3. Then you will have to time 1/3 by 2, you'll get 2/6. 3/6+2/6=5/6.
The problem is solvable.

Answer:

Explanation:

The given equation is:

(3)/(x)+(1)/(3)=(5)/(6)

Just because we have a variable x in the denominator, it cannot be concluded that the equation can't be further solved as we do have the answer that is
(5)/(6).

Now, solving the given equation, we get

(3)/(x)=(5)/(6)-(1)/(3)

(3)/(x)=(5-2)/(6)

(3)/(x)=(3)/(6)

(1)/(x)=(1)/(6)

x=6

Therefore, the given equation can be further solved.
