Hello,

(f-g)(x)=3x²+1-1+x=3x²+x
(f-g)(2)=3*2²+2=3*4+2=14

Answer:

The value of (f-g)(2)= 14

Explanation:

f(x) = 3x^2 + 1 and g(x) = 1 – x

we need to find the value of (f-g)(2)

(f-g)(x)= f(x) - g(x)

Replace f(x) and g(x)

(f-g)(x)= f(x) - g(x)= (3x^2+1 -(1-x))=  3x^2+1-1+x= 3x^2+x

Now plug in 2 for x

(f-g)(x) =3x^2+x

(f-g)(2) =3(2)^2+2=12+2=14

The value of (f-g)(2)= 14
