(2x - 9)(x + 6) = 2x(x + 6) - 9(x + 6) = 2x² + 12x - 9x - 54 = 2x² + 3x - 54

Hi Jon

(2x - 9)(x+6)

Every time they ask you to simplify an expression the first must be in your mind is the Distributive property

(2x)(x)+ (2x)(6) + (-9)(x) + (-9)(6)

= 2x² + 12x - 9x -54

= 2x² + 3x -54

I hope that's help:)
