the junior class has 50 students. twenty-five students take french, 15 take latin, and 10 take both. if a student is chosen at random from the class, what is the probability that the student chosen takes neither french nor latin?

P(F) = 0.5
P(L) = 0.3

P(F\cap L)=0.2

P(F\cap L')=0.5-0.2=0.3

P(F'\cap L)=0.3-0.2=0.1

P(F'\cap L')=1-0.3-0.2-0.1=0.4
