23x = -3x^2 + 8
3x^2 + 23x - 8 = 0
3x^2 + 24x - x - 8 = 0
3x (x + 8) -1 (x + 8) = 0
(x + 8) (3x - 1) = 0

x = -8 or x = 1/3
