The balanced chemical reaction:
5C + 2SO2 → CS2 + 4CO
We are given the amount of coke to be used for the reaction. This will be the starting point for the calculations.
8 mol C ( 1 mol CS2 / 5 mol C ) =
1.6 mol CS2
