  • Day of the Dead and Halloween both involve decorations, such as decorating your house on Halloween, or decorating your ofrenda on Day of the Dead.

Differences

  • Day of the Dead celebrates the memory of lost ones, while Halloween displays fright and horror.
  • Day of the Dead is celebrated in Mexico and by Mexicans, while Halloween can be celebrated by anyone, mostly Americans however.
  • Usually, meals eaten on Day of the Dead can be traditional foods that our loved ones who passed away used to make, but on Halloween, we usually eat candy all day.
