Put x = 1

the first exponent is

9^x

since x = 1

our new expression becomes

9^1

in mathematics, anything number rasied to the power of one is equal to that same number

Therefore, 9^1 = 9 x 1

= 9

Therefore, the expression is not equal to the exponent

for the second exponent

3^x

since x = 1

therefore, 3 raised to the power of one is 3

3^1 = 3 x 1

= 3

The second exponent which is 3^x is equal to 3 and not 9

for the third exponent

x^3

since x = 1

so we have, 1^3

one raised to any power is 1

1^3 = 1 x 1 x 1

1^3 = 1

Therefore, x^3 = 1
