Mischa wrote the quadratic equation 0 = –x2 + 4x – 7 in standard form

The standard form of quadratic equation is

y= ax^2 + bx + c

When y=0 then the standard equation becomes

0= ax^2 + bx + c

Now we compare the given equation
0 = -x^2 + 4x - 7 with
0= ax^2 + bx + c and find the value of a, b,c

-x^2 can be written as -1x^2

0= ax^2 + bx + c

0 = -1x^2 + 4x - 7

a= -1 , b=4 and c=-7

The value of c is -7

Standard form for quadratic equations is:

ax² + bx + c = 0

Therefore, in Mischa's equation, the value of c is -7.
