Coulomb's Law) Two socks have an excess charge. Sock 1 has a charge of +3.0µC and Sock 2 has a charge of +5.0µC. If you were to double the charge on Sock 1, double the charge on Sock 2, and double the distance between the socks... then the electrostatic force on each sock would change by a factor of:

F=k(Q1* Q2)/(d^2)

Where:

F= electrostatic force

Q1 = charge 1 = 3 uC

Q2 = charge 2 = 5 uC

d = distance

k= Coulumbs constant

If both charges double and the distance doubles, the electrostatic force change would be by a factor of 1.
