In what occupations did most Chinese immigrants work from the 1860s to 1890s? What was Chinese community life like in the cities, especially San Francisco?

The majority of Chinese imigrants from this time moved to the U.S for possibly the Gold Rush, or to find a better life. For eternity white people always believe they were the best race (although the chinese were much smarter about their sitiuation and outworked most Americans), as a result all races were discriminated against jealous Whites
Hope this helps!

Most Chinese Immigrants in the US at this time came over because of the gold rush. I would imagine they were treated poorly by the white people.
