Social contract is where an individual goes into agreement to enter into civil civilization. The agreement fundamentally binds individuals into a community that happens for mutual defense. In arriving into civil society, individuals loss the physical liberty of being capable to do of any kind they satisfy, but they get the civil freedom of being capable to contemplate and act sensibly and ethically. Rousseau trusts that only by arriving into the social contract can we become fully human.
