Inca citizens labored for the ruler on the myriad roads, crop terraces, irrigation canals, temples, or fortresses. How were they paid for their work?

During my reading of the 4.04 unit, I learned that the answer is that they were paid in Clothing and Food! Your welcome.

The answer is the Incans are only paid with food and clothes. They were not paid with gold or currencies. The gold in the Mayan civilization is used as an ornament for their temples and tribes. Their King cloth them and feed them. Incans lived a very simple life
