The given complex number is (−4 as the real part and 2 as the imaginary part)

Which mean the given complex number is ⇒ ( -4 + 2 i )

The conjugate of a complex number is the number with an equal real part and an imaginary part equal in magnitude but with opposite sign.

So, the real part which is -4 will be the real of the conjugate
And the imaginary part of the conjugate will be -2i

So, the conjugate of the given complex number ( -4 - 2 i )

So, the correct answer is the third option ⇒ −4 − 2i
