The molecules in the compound AB are strongly polar, while the molecules in XY are nonpolar. Which substance probably has the higher boiling point and why?

A polar substance has an unequal sharing of electrons while non-polar ones share equally of electrons. In this case, AB is strongly polar while XY is nonpolar. AB then has a higher boiling point because polar molecules have strong intermolecular forces between them.
