The erratum in this sentence is that clothes are removed from the water by the action of centripetal force. The holes in the washing machine drum enables the clothes to move along the circular path. The holes also enable the water to escape from the machine and pushes the water to move alon gthe circular motion as well. While there is motion, the holes keep the clothes moving inward.

The sentence is wrong in the sense that the centrifugal force was actually the reason why the clothes in the washing machine help it dry. But contrary to the belief, the reason why clothes are easier to dry in the washing machine is because of the holes that were drilled into the washing machine. These holes allow the water to escape from the clothes and enter into these holes so that they are drained away from the clothes.
