Answer:

The solution set is {-6,4}

Explanation:

Given:
(x+1)^2=25

We will solve for x and find solution set.

(x+1)^2=25

Taking square root both sides

√((x+1)^2)=\pm √(25)

x+1=\pm 5

x+1=5 or x+1=-5

x=5-1 or x=-5-1

x=4 or x=-6

The solution are x=-6,4

Hence, The solution set is {-6,4}

( x + 1 )² = 25 /√
There are two solutions:
x + 1 = 5, x = 5 - 1, x = 4
x + 1 = - 5 , x = -5 -1, x = -6
The solution set is { -6, 4 }
