f(x) = 2x - 8

g(x) = 3x + 6

To find (fg)(2) multiply both functions by each other and replace x by 2:

(fg) (2)= (2x-8) (3x+6)

(fg) (2)= (2[2]-8) (3[2]+6)

(fg) (2) = (4-8) (6+6)

(fg) (2) = -4 (12)

(fg) (2) = -48
