How does potassium ions behave when current is passed through the electoryte

Potassium ions have positive charges which means it allow the passage of electrolytes in it. An application of this phenomena is the action of neurons where potassium and sodium ions are active in the system.When passed through an electrolyte, potassium ions flow until such time that concentration or potential gradient ceases.
