You do the difference divided by the starting number.
518 - 422 = 96 (the difference)
422 is the starting number.
96/422 = 0.227488 (rounded up)
if 1 is 100% then 1+0.2227488 would be the increase.
1 + 0.227488 = 1.227488
1.227 = 122.7%
