The correct answer is C,

Species variety is far greater in tropical forest than it is anywhere else on Earth. You might say that tropical forests are our planet’s evolutionary laboratories. So, as rainforests are depleted, biodiversity is greatly reduced. Medicinal herbs are lost. Rare species disappear, often before anyone is aware of their existence.

Rainforest is home to around 40% to 75% biotic species. There's tremendous biodiversity in the plant life of the tropical rainforest. This is why it supports a very broad array of reptiles, birds, mammals, and invertebrates. So, to answer the question above: C.
