For the line y= 3/4x, if the y-coordinent is 12, what is the x coordinate

Since y = 12 we just plug that in for y

12 = 3/4x

And since 3/4 = 0.75 we will plug that in

So our equation looks like this
12 = 0.75x we first divide both sides by 0.75
÷0.75 = ÷0.75 it cancels out on the right side and we solve on the left side.

12 ÷ 0.75 = 16
So..
When
y = 12
then
x = 16
