I think its dissatisfaction. The poem Richard Cory talks about named Richard Cory who is envied by many people living in the downtown area. Richard Cory is described as a handsome and wealthy young man who often visit the people living on the pavement. The poem states that there is a big disparity between him and the people living downtown.
