x^2 +3x = 10 subtract from both sides 10 and will get
x^2 +3x -10 = 10 -10
x^2 +3x -10 = 0
x*x +5x -2x +5(-2) = 0
x(x+5) -2(x+5) = 0
(x+5)(x-2) =0
x +5 =0
x = -5
x-2 =0
x = 2
