Given the slope and the coordinates of one of points in the line, the equation may be expressed by the slope - intercept form in which the general form is written below.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

where m is the slope and x1 and y1 are the abscissa and ordinate of the point, respectively.

Substituting the given values,

y - (-3) = -6(x - (-9)

Simplifying the equation gives,

y = -6x -57
