Algebraic terms are monomials, this is a group of letters raised to some exponents and mutiplied by a coefficient or product of coefficients. For example this expression 124 x^5 y^3 z^2 + (4/5) x^5 - (851/7)z^(88) has three terms, 124x^5 y^3 z^2 is one term, (4/5)x^5 is other term, and (851/7)x^88 is other term. As you see the terms are separated by + or - signs. Answer: algebraic terms are separated by + or - signs.
