In this question we have to work through the given options. All of the choices, except B is incorrect. The options A, C and D either contain wrong information or missing information. B is correct because we check that information for the writing style and text structure.

Among these statements option B. that states the omissions and details of the author is integral in responding to a text. Comparing two texts always require detailed analysis and it is not appropriate to rely on opinion and subjectivity to evaluate a text. answer here is B.
