B. Literature is not an exact study, and multiple interpretations are equally valid.
Because of the different backgrounds and experiences readers will have, readers will interpret elements within literature in varying ways as what has happened to people in the past shapes how people view things in the present such as the things we read. Sometimes, it’s possible that two conflicting interpretations can exist simultaneously as one person might view a character trait as good while another might view the same character trait as bad, and both might be able to defend his or her view, which makes both interpretations valid.
