The answer is A.True.

Usually when you factor solutions using the Zero Product Rule would often lead to the simplified equation of the original one. However, there is certain circumstance instead of getting the original, you would end up getting another equation instead of the original one, and then that is an extraneous solution.

Answer: TRUE

The zero product rule states that a product of factors is zero if and only if one or more of the factors is zero.

When you factor a polynomial, you break it up into simpler terms multiplied by each other, but such as the result of the multiplication is the original polynomial. Therefore, you simply write the polynomial in an alternative form made of factors.

Therefore, the solutions to the original equation (which is the polynomial set to zero) will be the solutions of the simpler equations because they are equivalent.
