The given equation is:

(3)/(4)x + (5)/(8) = 4x
We are then asked to find x.
First step:
subtract (3/4)x on both sides.

(5)/(8) = 4x -(3)/(4)x

(5)/(8) = 3.25x<span>

Then divide 3.25 to both sides of the equation:

(5/8)/(3.25) = x<span>

x = 5/26
