You find the range by plugging 0 ,2 and 4 into x^2 + 1.
for x = 0 y = 0 + 1 = 1
x = 2, y = 2^2 + 1 = 5
x = 4 y = 4^2 + 1 = 17
so the range is {1, 5, 17}
