slope = rise/run = 12/28 = 3/7

hence slope is 3/7 feet or 0.43 feet.

Answer:

(3)/(7)

Explanation:

The slope can be defined as the rate of change in the y axis with respect to the x axis. Mathematically can be expressed as:

m=(\Delta y)/(\Delta x)

Where:

m=Slope\\\Delta y=Rate\hspace{3}of\hspace{3}change\hspace{3}at\hspace{3}y\hspace{3}axis\\\Delta x=Rate\hspace{3}of\hspace{3}change\hspace{3}at\hspace{3}x\hspace{3}axis

In this case:

\Delta y=12ft\\\Delta x=28ft

Therefore:

m=(12ft)/(28ft)=(3)/(7)\approx0.43
