a)

Using the data you have to create a two-way table for the variables "Gender, categorized: male and female" and "Handedness, categorized right and left"

To create the table , you have to determine the margins first.

This is, count the total number of students, regardelss the gender and/or their handedness.

Then count how many females (zeros) and males (ones) there are.

The total number of of students is n=11 (purple)

There are 5 males (blue) and 6 females (red)

Of the 11 students, 6 are right handed (green) and 5 are left handed (orange)

In the table the values are:

To complete the body of the table you have to count, how many "males" are right handed or left handed, and how many "females" are rigth handed or left handed.

Out of the 5 males, 1 is right handed and the other 4 are left handed.

Out of the 6 females, 5 are right handed and 1 is left handed.

Now we can complete the table above.

b) You have to determine the percentage of females that are right handed.

So you have to work only with the females, where the total of females represents the 100%

So 6 females =100%

Out of these 6 females, 5 are rigth handed, you have to calculate what percentage of 6 this 5 right handed females represent. To do so, divide the number of rigth handed females by the total of females andmultiply it by 100:

((5)/(6))\cdot100=83.33

The 83.33% of the females are right handed.

c) You have to determine the percentage of right handed students that are females.

In this item, you are working with the group of right handed students, regardless the gender, and from those you want to determine the percentage of females.

So there are 6 right handed people, out of these 6 people, 5 are females. So divide the number of right handed people that are female by the total number of righthanded people and multiply it by 100

((5)/(6))\cdot100=83.33

This indicates that 83.33% of the right handed people are female.

d) You have to determine the percentage of students tht are rigth handed.

In this case you have to work with the whole sample of students, regardless the gender. And from those students, you have to determine the percentage of rigth handed.

So the total of students is 11 and the total of rigth handed students is 6

To calculate the percentage divide the number of right handed students by the total number of students and multiply it by 100

((6)/(11))\cdot100=54.54

54.54% of the students are right handed.

e) If the percentage of rigth handed females is the same (83.33%) and there are 60 females, the number of right handed females will be equal to the total of females multiplied by the percentage and divide it by 100

60\cdot(83.33)/(100)=49.998\cong50

There will be roughly 50 right handed females.
