Frameshift mutation is a type of genetic mutation wherein a change in sequence and order is caused, which is not by altering three nucleotides. Examples of this are insertions of bases or deletions of bases. The correct answer is A since A base or adenine is deleted causing a different reading frame.

The correct answer is A) AGTCG. The frameshift mutations are mutations that include insertions and deletions which, as a consequence, change the number of nucleotides in a DNA sequence that is not divisible by three. Because of the triplet nature of gene expression by codons the reading frame is altered, resulting in a completely different translation from the original. In this case, deletion of the A (adenine) nucleotide occurred.
