Suppose y varies directly with x. if y = 3 when x = 2, find y when x = 3.?

Y would be 4 if they keep the trend

Hello,

y varies directly with x ==>y=k*x
if y=3 then x=2 ==>3=k*2==>k=3/2

When x=3 then y=3/2*3= 9/2=4.5
